Mind on the Grind 
“What do you do for cardio?” is a question that I often get asked. “Nothing, just yoga and surfing” I casually reply.
With our property in Ucluelet rented for most of the summer and the outdoor classes rocking, I decided this summer to put surfing on the back burner. But “how am I going to get my nature and outdoor exercise fix?” I thought. I realized I had to (read more on the bliss blog)

Bears
-In 1902, U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, also known as Teddy Roosevelt, was out hunting. He came across a bear cub that would have been a great hunting trophy but he chose to let the bear live. The story spread quickly and the Teddy Bear came to be!
-Females give birth to their cubs during this winter sleep (Ladies, don't you wish you could sleep through child birth and wake up to breast feeding babies)
-Koalas look like they could belong to the bear family and are often called bears, but they are, in fact, marsupials.
-Bears are classified as caniforms, or doglike carnivorans
-In some Asian countries the bear gall bladder is more valuable than gold! Sadly, this has taken a toll on the Sloth and Asiatic bear populations and has made them an endangered species.
-Bears drag the salmon into the forest then insects and birds then feed on the remaining carcass, distributing this rich source of nitrogen throughout the forest.
